The construction of the Armenian embassy in the United Arabic
Emirates (UAE) is close to end. "In fact, it will be one of our
best embassies. It is a very serious complex built with Armenian
tuff," Vardan Oskanyan, minister of foreign affairs, told a press
conference today. In the course of the business trip from October
19-21, Oskanyan personally saw the building. In December, the embassy
will be ceremonially opened, he said.

The embassy was built on the funds donated by the Armenian
community. The space is provided by the government of the Emirates
during the visit of our president to UAE.

Before the United Emirates, our minister has been to New York, Boston,
Brussels, Luxemburg since October 1, taking part in several key events.

Oskanyan summed his 21 day absence, mentioning that the visit to
Belgium was different both qualitatively and in terms of political
dialogue. "The quality of economic cooperation is also new. There
are integration opportunities," the minister noted. In his words,
this visit outlined the major priorities of cooperation with Belgium
for next year. Speaking on Armenia-EU cooperation council session,
the minister said there were opportunities of dialogue with the
participants, including with Azerbaijanis.
