TEHRAN, Oct. 31 (Mehr News Agency) – The head of the Iran-Armenia
Joint Chamber of Commerce and Industries announced here on Wednesday
said that the two sides’ trade volume will soar to one billion dollars.
Talking to MNA, Leon Aharonian put the current trade volume at over
$200 million, of which $160 million is related to Iran’s exports and
$40 million to Armenia’s exports.
Referring to Iran’s gas exports and energy transmission to the
neighboring country, he noted that Iran will export three million
cubic meters of gas to the country per day, naming the project a
proper way to transmit Iran’s gas to Europe.
Armenia is among those states that alongside other regional states
play an effective role in the North-South Corridor that has been
established between India, Iran, and Russia and is considered one of
the important trade routes linking Europe, East and West Asia.
