27% GROWTH OF REVENUES ENVISAGED BY 2008 DRAFT STATE BUDGET OF ARMENIA
YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 3, NOYAN TAPAN. By the 2008 draft state budget,
revenues of 744.7 bln drams (about 2.3 bln USD) are envisaged against
616 bln drams expected in 2007, or a 27.1% growth of revenues, the RA
deputy minister of finance and economy Pavel Safarian said at the
November 2 joint sitting of the RA National Assembly standing
committees. Out of the indicated sum, revenues of 595.1 bln drams will
be received from tax and duty colelction, 104.9 bln drams – as
compulsory social insurance payments, and 35.7 bln drams – as official
transfers.
According to P. Safarian, in 2008 the ratio of taxes to GDP will make
16.9% against 15.7% expected this year.
94.1% of taxes and duties will be received from their collection, 4.3%
– as a result of improved administration, and 4.6% – thanks to
legislative amendments.
