The Armenian national chess team became the vice-champion of the
European team Championship in Greece today. The Armenian chessmen
defeated Israeli national team 2.5:1.5.

Levon Aronyan defeated Emil Sutovski, Vladimir Hakobyan also defeated
his opponent, Gabriel Sargsyan ended the match in a tie and Karen
Asryan was defeated. After this success Armenian team affirmed its
place in the 2-nd place.

The Armenian team got 14 team and 20.5 individual points during the 9
matches. The champion of the Championship became Russia. Of course,
this is not an ideal result for the Armenian team, but the Armenian
chessmen proved their high level another time.

The Armenian women’s national team tied the meeting with Georgia 2:2.

Now Armenia is in the 3-rd place, but it is not excluded that the
national team of Ukraine may pass around our team.
