ArmInfo. The tax inspection at Bjni Company was politically motivated,
a member of the Republican Party of Armenia Hakob Hakobyan told
ArmInfo.
He said such inspections must be made after the presidential election
for now they are politically motivated. ‘I respect the person and
ideology of Khachatur Sukiasyan, the owner of Bjni Company. He is
a person of principle and has a right to support any candidate for
president he prefers. Khachatur Sukiasyan has a great contribution
to development of democracy, economy and image of the country,’
he said. H. Hakobyan stressed that international structures must
understand that businessmen in Armenia may have an active political
life and not support a pro-governmental candidate.
To recall, the Revenue Service started inspections at Bjni Company
after his owner stated that he intends to support the candidature
of first Armenian President Levon Ter-Petrosyan. In addition, after
the inspections, Director of Pizza di Roma Company Gevorg Safaryan
was arrested.
