NATIONAL COMPETITIVENESS COUNCIL TO BE CREATED IN ARMENIA

YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 8, NOYAN TAPAN. In order to promote sustainable
economic development and increase competitiveness in Armenia, the
Armenian government made a decision on the creation of a national
competitiveness council at the November 8 governmental sitting,
NT was informed by the RA Government Information and PR Department.
The composition of the council’s main members and those to be
included in rotation (chairman – the RA prime minister), as well
as the regulations of the council were approved. It was decided
that the list of members to be included in rotation is approved and
changed in accordance with the procedure established by the council
and by decision of the RA prime minister – every six months. It was
also stipulated that the national competitiveness council organizes
activities according to the procedure established by itself.
