REPUBLICAN PARTY TO HOLD CONGRESS NOVEMBER 10

YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 9, ARMENPRESS: The governing Republican Party will
hold its 11-th congress on Saturday, November 10. A spokesman for
the party, Eduard Sharmazanov, said the congress has three issues on
its agenda.

It will consider some changes to its Regulations and will set up an
executive body of the party and will also enlarge the composition of
its governing board.

He said the congress will also discuss re-election of prime minister
Serzh Sarkisian as chairman of the party and his nomination for next
year February 19 presidential election.

The congress will be held at Dynamo sport hall as it is the only
structure that can accommodate some 1,300 delegates of the congress.
