YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 12, NOYAN TAPAN. The guide "Armenian Language,
Literature" on th single school final and university entrance
examination has a new structure. Miritsa Halajian, chief expert
of Armenian language and literature of the examination task and
methodological help unit of the evaluation and test center, said at
the November 12 press conference that all subjects and sections on
the Armenian language are presented in the new guide, which explains
additionally in a comprehensive way all subjects included in the
textbook, thanks to which pupils will be able to understand and solve
the task most easily.
According to M. Halajian, the guide is also useful for those preparing
tests, helping them avoid problems arising from some differences
between the old and new textbooks, orthoepic problems, etc. She
said that the guide has one sample of a test but with more tasks,
and there will be thematic explanations to be followed by more tasks.
The literature part of the guide will be presented in a group form,
with subjects to be included in each task being given. In the words
of M. Halajian, there will be no tasks on nonmandatory or essay-type
reading or tasks on "not major" characters of literary works. The
guide contains the list of mandatory literature and the sections to
be learnt by heart.
The quantitive ratio of questions on the Armenian language and those
on the Armenian literature has not been changed in tests. The chief
expert of the evaluation and test center assured those present that
all tasks will be only on materials included in school testbooks.
