PRESIDENT OF NETHERLANDS BANK NOTES OBVIOUS PROGRESS IN FINANCIAL SECTOR OF ARMENIAN ECONOMY

YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 13, NOYAN TAPAN. Receiving on November 13 the
President of the Netherlands Bank Dr. Nout Wellink who is on an
official visit to Armenia, the president of the RA Robert Kocharian
stated that Armenia strives to become a center of intellectual services
in the region and with this aim it has made the main investment in
human resources. He expressed confidence that the discussions with the
participation of N. Wellink will be of great use to experts engaged
in this sphere.
NT was informed by the RA president’s press service that the President
of the Netherlands Bank spoke with satisfaction about the close
cooperation between the structure headed by him and the Central Bank
of Armenia. As regards the current state and the development of the
financial sector of the Armenian economy, N. Wellink stressed the
obvious progress made here.
Speaking about his meetings in Armenia, he said that he had quite
interesting and effective discussions and is impressed by the
knowledge, preparedness and perception of these meetings’ participants.
