ArmInfo. The revenue side of the Armenian 2008 consolidated budget
makes up 766,9 bln AMD, expenditure side-842,9 bln AMD, deficit-76
bln AMD, RA Minister of Finance and Economy Vardan Khachatryan said
in RA National Assembly, presenting the country’s main economic law
to the parliamentarians’ judgment.
As the minister said, the 2008 draft state budget of Armenia
is developed on the basis of the poverty reduction strategic
program. It also proceeds from RA Government’s long-term and mid-term
programs. V. Khachatryan emphasized that the structure of covering
the state budget deficit has undergone several changes as compared to
the precious years. This is connected with Armenia’s passing to a new
qualification of the state budget in 2008, which has already led to
discordance with the indicators of both the current and the previous
years. In 2008 the country’s consolidated budget will exceed the same
indicator of 2007 by 164bln AMD or by 24,7% in terms of incomes,
and in terms of expenditures-by 193,7bln AMD or by 29,8%AMD, in
terms of deficit-29,7bln AMD. In 2008 the anticipated share of taxes
in the country’s GDP will make up 21,8% against 19,6 % in 2007, and
expenditures-23,9% against 21,1% in 2007, deficit-2,1% against 1,5% in
2007. It’s noteworthy, the minister added, that such a marked increase
of the budgetary indicators is conditioned by the ongoing improvement
process of fundraising and economic growth. The total consolidated own
incomes of organs of power are anticipated at the rate of 29,4bln AMD.
