PRESIDENT KOCHARYAN RECEIVED THE PRIME MINISTER OF BULGARIA

President Robert Kocharyan received Sergey Stanishev, the Prime
Minister of the Republic of Bulgaria, President’s Press Office
informs. The meeting was attended by Armenian Prime Minister Serge
Sargsyan.
The President highly assessed the current level of Armenian-Bulgarian
cooperation and noted that the spiritual-cultural similarities bring
the two countries and peoples closer.
The parties discussed the whole framework of Armenian-Bulgarian
relations, especially emphasizing the further intensification of
economic activity.
They also turned to the opportunities of cooperation in the framework
of the European Neighborhood Policy.
Sergey Stanishev attached particular importance to the
Bulgarian-Armenian community in the development of relations between
our two countries. In his words, the Armenians of Bulgaria have got
fully integrated into the society and play an active role in different
spheres of the country’s life.
The interlocutors touched upon cultural cooperation. It was noted
that an agreement has been reached to hold Bulgarian Culture Days in
Armenia next year.
