NEWLY APPOINTED GREEK AMBASSADOR HANDS HIS CREDENTIALS TO ARMENIAN PRESIDENT

YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 14, NOYAN TAPAN. The newly appointed Greek ambassador
to Armenia Ioannis Korinthios on November 14 handed his credentials to
the Armenian president Robert Kocharian. The ambassador stated that
he will spare no effort to strengthen the bilateral Armenian-Greek
relations.
Expressing satisfation at the level of the Armenian-Greek political
dialog, R. Kocharian said that the extensive relations between the
two countries are dynamically developing. He thanked the Greek side
for technical assistance provided to Armenia, especially in such
spheres as tourism, agriculture, and defence.
According to a press release submitted to NT by the RA president’s
press service, the interlocutors attached importance to examination
of the opportunities of cooperating with Greece in specific spheres
under the Armenia-European Union Action Plan.
