On December 3 the newly appointed Ambassador of Ireland Jeffery Cantor

in carrying out his high mission. Highly assessing the current level
of Armenian-Irish relations, Mr. Baibourtian noted that Armenia is
interested in further reinforcing and developing the political and
economic dialogue between the two countries.

During the conversation the Ambassador of Ireland also appreciated
the active cooperation between Armenia and Ireland and assured that
he will spare no effort to reinforce the bilateral relations.

The interlocutors turned to the cooperation within the framework
of the European Neighborhood Policy and on the bilateral level,
improvement of the legal-contractual field, as well as the great
potential for development of bilateral economic relations and the
opportunities of implementation of joint programs.

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
