The US President George Bush called on the Russian authorities to
release the participants of the opposition action.
On 24 November the leader of the oppositional United Civil Front
Garry Kasparov was detained in Moscow. He was detained for 5 days
for the participation in a prohibited action.
The US Department of State is also disturbed by the arrest of the
opposition leader. kasparov.ru website informs that Garry Kasparov’s
lawyer and co-thinkers are forbidden to visit him. They worry about
their leader. "Assumptions are very gloomy",- says the press release.
