HAYK DEMOYAN IS CERTAIN: TURKEY WON’T ADMIT ARMENIAN GENOCIDE

Whether Turkey admits Armenian Genocide or not is mainly connected
with the democratic reforms held in that country, but the chances
are very low. Today Hayk Demoyan, the director of Genocide Museum,
expressed his thought during TV bridge event, where Russian and
Armenian experts were present. He said that he feels pessimistic for
the question, as Turkey inherited its entire national directions from
history, and if some day Turkey admits genocide then the miffs will
be destroyed with Turkey itself. "It will cause deep depression for
Turkish public," added the historian and mentioned that Turkey will
not admit Armenian Genocide being afraid of the compensation.
As for the Turkish decision to let the historians decide, Demoyan
said that this is a tricky policy conducted by Turkish side, as all
the historic facts prove the idea of genocide. According to Demoyan,
what Turkey does with NK and Curds’ problems proves that they are
not punished for their former sins.
