AZERBAIJAN-DEFENSE /WRD/ AZERI DEFENSE MINISTER MEETS JORDANIAN OFFICIAL

Baku, Dec 4 (IRNA-Azertaz) — Minister of Defense Industry Yaver
Jamalov has met with visiting chairman & CEO of Jordan’s King Abdullah
II Design and Development Bureau Moayad Samman and his accompanying
delegation.

Jamalov stressed that Jordan-Azerbaijan relationships saw a great
progress after President Ilham Aliyev?s visit to this country.

Minister said Armenia?s non-constructive position hampers resolution
of the Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict over Nagorno-Karabakh.

To reduce dependency on import of ammunition and military hardware,
the Defense Industry Ministry implements a number of projects and
has established contacts with some countries to develop the military
industrial complex.

During the President?s visit, experts of the Ministry of Defense
Ministry visited the King Abdullah II Design and Development Bureau.

According to Jamalov, during the visit, leaders of the Bureau
were invited to Azerbaijan to discuss prospects for development of
cooperation and get acquainted with the Azerbaijan?s defense industry.
