FIRST PRESIDENT OF ARMENIA MET CO-REPORTERS OF PACE MONITORING MISSIONS

ArmInfo. The first President of Armenia Levon Ter-Petrosyan met
co-reporters of PACE monitoring mission George Colombie and Despina
Chatsivasiliu, who have arrived in Yerevan.

As the Office of the Initiative Group on nomination of Levon
Ter-Petrosyan Armenia’s presidential contender told ArmInfo, special
representative of CoE Secretary General to Armenia Bojana Urumova and
ex-Foreign Minister of Armenia Alexander Arzumanyan also took part
in the meeting. The issues of fulfillment of commitments by Armenia
to the Council of Europe, the present internal political situation in
Armenia, as well as the forthcoming 2008 presidential election in the
country were discussed during the meeting which lasted for about an
hour. The meeting participants exchanged opinions on the proposals
of L. Ter-Petrosyan and some home political figures concerning the
amendments to RA Electoral Code.
