EXPENDITURES OF PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATES WILL BE DETAILED
`The Electoral Code stipulated a control provision according to which
the candidates must twice submit reports on the expenditures made from
pre-election funds unlike in the past when they submitted a report
only 6 days after the elections,’ Abram Bakhchagulyan, CEC secretary,
told a news conference today. He said this will enable to get
acquainted with the expenditures made by the candidates in more
detail. It must be mentioned that according to the Electoral Code the
maximum amount in the pre-election funds must be 70 million drams.
OSCE observers will arrive in Armenia on a short-term election
mission. `CEC invites all international organizations and the
ambassadors of the countries with which we cooperate,’ Bakhchagulyan
said. He also said the list of organizations that will be invited to
observe the elections will be announced soon by CEC.
In the words of CEC secretary, Georgia has not sent an invitation to
Armenia to participate in January 6 presidential elections in the
country.
