U.S. NOT GOING TO DISPUTE RUSSIA’S INTERESTS IN SOUTH CAUCASUS

/PanARMENIAN.Net/ The United States and Azerbaijan have the
possibility to establish a trilateral strategic partnership. However,
the U.S. doesn’t intend to dispute Russia’s interests in the South
Caucasus, said Daniel Fried, Assistant Secretary for the Bureau of
European and Eurasian Affairs.
Russia will remain the leading factor in the South Caucasus, he added
"It would be unwise to stand against Russia. We eye the region as
an open space for development of cooperation with Middle Asia and
South Caucasus. The United States, Russia and Azerbaijan can establish
trilateral partnership beneficial for all of us and the entire region,"
