ARG TO INSTALL GAS PURIFICATION SYSTEMS
ARMENPRESS

YEREVAN, DECEMBER 14, ARMENPRESS: The chief engineer of the
Russian-Armenian ArmRosGazrom (ARG) joint venture, Ashot Hovsepian,
told Armenpress that the company will begin assembling a natural gas
purification station on the border with Georgia next spring.
He said the quality of Russian gas that is shipped across Georgia
to Armenia is not high, which results in clogging of the pipes,
reduction of their capacity and disruption of the measurement system,
which eventually affect consumers.
He said the project is estimated at $ 3 million.
The installation of the system is supposed to be over in 2008 autumn.
He also said purification systems will be installed at all gas
distribution stations which would drastically improve the quality of
gas supplies.
