NEW FAMILIES RECEIVE AMD 300,000 IN KARABAKH

Some 2 million 632.3 million drams are allocated to state allowances
in the budget of Nagorno Karabakh in 2008 which is a higher indicator
by 54.9% than this year’s figure. The budget growth of next year
totals 35%.

The expenditures of social security have gone up by 56.9% in the
state budget by a law not adopted yet.

Karabakh open reports that the growth is conditioned by pensions,
allowances to population, social security events and other social
programs. The average security pension will total 23,800 drams in
2008 against 14,153 this year. New programs are envisaged: newly
formed families will receive AMD 300,000.
