The coordinating board of "Solidarity" movement has visited Kotaik
region on December 17. S. Avetisyan, coordinator of the movement in
the town of Abovyan, detailed the main aims of the movement and the
upcoming programs to the meeting participants. Public organization
heads, leaders of political parties and persons from different layers
as well as the business community participated in the meeting.

The residents of Kotaik described "Solidarity" as a requirement of
national importance that must serve as a base for the unification of
all Armenians and the preservation of human and national values.

Priest Ter Mashtots of Stepanos Church mentioned in his speech that
"Solidarity" stems from our national and religious interests by making
Armenia a country guided by Christian principles. The participants
expressed interest to join the movement and actively participate in
the dissemination of its postulated ideas.

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
