/PanARMENIAN.Net/ The OSCE Minsk Group co-chair states welcomed the
decision of Armenia and Azerbaijan to continue talks for the Nagorno
Karabakh conflict settlement despite the forthcoming presidential
elections in both states, Armenian Foreign Minister Vartan Oskanian
told a news conference in Yerevan. He voiced hope that the outcomes
of the elections will not affect the republic’s foreign policy.

He also reminded that the international mediators submitted a package
of proposals to the conflicting sides. The document contains proposals
on uncoordinated issues and calls on parties to conflict to approve
common concept as a basis for a comprehensive peaceful agreement.

Emil Lazarian: “I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
