Armenia does not rule out that the Iranian gas will be transported
through Armenia, the Armenian minister of energy Armen Movsisyan stated
on Saturday, commenting on Iran’s likelihood to export gas to Europe,
News Armenia reports.

The minister says Iran has already stated likely for a few times but
no efforts have been made.

"If Iran and Europe reach agreement on gas supply and consider
transit via Armenia the shortest and most effective route, assessing
the environmental and economic components as well, we will agree,"
Movsisyan said.

At the same time, the minister emphasized that if Armenia makes such
a decision, "nobody will prevent it because Armenia will do what is
beneficial for the country’s economy."

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
