ANTI-MISSILE DEFENSE COMPLEXES IN EUROPE AIMED AGAINST
RUSSIA
Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation Sergey
Lavrov said in an interview to "Vremya Novostey"
newspaper that the American complexes of anti-missile
defense in Europe are aimed at restraining Russia, and
not at neutralizing the dubitable threat from Iran.
In the same interview, referring to the Russia-UK
relations, Sergey Lavrov said that Moscow expects
London to do the first step towards improvement of the
bilateral relations. In connection with closing of the
Russian office of the British Council the Russian
Foreign Minister said that the issue is closely
attached to the British Government’s unrealistic
demands of extradition of businessman Lugovoy.
