IN GARNIK MARGARIAN’S OPINION, REPRESENTATIVES OF CRIMINAL WORLD WILL
NOT MANAGE TO FINALLY GAIN A FIRM HOLD IN POWER

YEREVAN, DECEMBER 25, NOYAN TAPAN. For the first time after the last
ten years we have managed to mobilize all political forces, which are
really anxious about country’s fate and are ready to resolutely fight
for making quality changes. Garnik Margarian, the Chairman of the
Homeland and Honor party, stated in his interview to Noyan Tapan
correspondent.

According to him, mobilization of many opposition forces and their
consolidation around first President Levon Ter-Petrosian ensured a real
breakthrough in country’s political sphere, which in its turn will
become a serious obstacle for continuing seizing the power by the
representatives of criminal world. "As a result of the parliamentary
elections the criminal element penetrated into the National Assembly.
It is striving for finally gaining a firm hold in power after the
presidential elections, however, will fail to do it," G. Margarian
stated. According to his evaluation, the second important factor, which
can hamper reproduction of the current ruling regime, is the great
change, which happened in the moral-psychological atmosphere of the
country.

At the same time, according to G. Margarian, the most complicated and
responsible stage of struggle is still ahead for opposition forces,
which envisages planning and holding of many organization and agitation
events.
