RA President Signs Decree on Giving 2007 State Prizes

RA PRESIDENT SIGNS DECREE ON GIVING 2007 STATE PRIZES

YEREVAN, DECEMBER 26, NOYAN TAPAN. On December 26, RA President Robert
Kocharian signed a decree on giving 2007 state prizes. As Noyan Tapan
was informed by the RA President’s Press Office, 2007 state prizes have
been given:

1. In the sphere of literature and publicism, to Davit Hovhannes for
his book "New Chronicon;"

2. In the sphere of music, to Ruben Sargsian for his series of
orchestra works "What Was Left," "The Confession of the One Who Has
Experienced the Tragedy of Der Zor," "To Its Range," "Requiem for a
Ghost;"

3. In the sphere of painting, to Paravon Mirzoyan for his series of
paintings (landscapes, portraits, still life paintings, free figurative
compositions dedicated to Armenia);

4. In the sphere of architecture and urban development, to Jim Torosian
(architect), Roland Martirosian (architect), Henzel Hakobian
(architect), Gagik Galstian (Horizon 95 construction company’s
Director), Artsrun Sergoyan (Horizon 95 construction company’s head of
district) for the building of Yerevan Mayor’s Office.
