CHAIRLADIES OF LADIES’s SOCIETIES FROM LOS ANGELES AREA GATHERED AT
On Monday, January 14, 2008, the Chairladies and Representatives of
the Ladies’ Societies from the Greater Los Angeles area gathered at
the Diocesan Headquarters for an open forum and luncheon to discuss
mutual interests and areas of cooperation and exchange ideas regarding
the general activities of the Ladies’ Societies of the Western
Diocese.

On Wednesday, January 16, 2008, His Eminence Archbishop Hovnan
Derderian, Primate of the Western Diocese of the Armenian Church,
accompanied by the Very Rev. Fr. Baret Dz. V. Yeretsian, Pastor of
St. Gregory the Illuminator Church of Pasadena, met with the trustees
of the Hovsepian School and discussed matters pertaining the school
life.

SUMMER CAMP COMMITTEE MEETS; PLANS UPCOMING YEAR
The Western Diocese Summer Camp Committee gathered for its second
regular meeting of the 2008 Summer Camp season on Saturday, January
5th at St. Paul, Fresno. We joined other Diocesan organizations,
including Camp Board, Diocesan Council and ACYO Central council, at a
luncheon and open forum discussion hosted by Abp. Hovnan Derderian.

$11,600 DONATIONS MADE BY ST. ANDREW OF CUPERTINO IN 2007
During year 2007, St. Andrew Armenian Church of Cupertino, Santa
Clara Valley, raised and donated $11,600 to various causes within and
without the Western Diocese of the Armenian Church.

The Western Diocese of the Armenian Church of North America, providing
spiritual guidance and leadership to the Armenian Apostolic community,
is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit, tax-exempt organization comprised of 47
churches in 16 western states. It was established in 1898 as the
Diocese of the Armenian Church encompassing the entire United States
and Canada. In 1927 the Western Diocese was formed to exclusivly serve
the western United States.
