US Co-chairman of the OSCE Minsk Group Matthew Bryza considers that
"any resolution on the Garabagh conflict settlement must be supported
by the people of Nagorno Garabagh first".

Metthew Bryza made this statement in Yerevan, commenting on the
visit of the co-chairman to the so-called "Nagorno Garabagh
Republic".

"Our visit to Garabagh aimed at close familiarization with the region
and positions of the leadership of Garabagh, as any resolution on the
Garabagh conflict settlement must be supported by the people of
Garabagh", Matthew Bryza announced.

He noted that the co-chairmen respect the people of Garabagh and
expressed satisfaction that the mediators could hold observations
directly in Garabagh.

"The visit to Garabagh was of great importance, as this is a place
where mediators can fully understand the problem", Bryza sia.

In turn, the French co-chairman of the OSCE Minsk Group Bernard
Fassier noted that "he was glad to listen to the reasonable and
pragmatic positions of the Garabagh leadership".

It should be noted that in the framework of a regional visit, foreign
mediators stayed in Nagorno Garabagh on January 15-15, where they met
with the president of the self-appointed "Nagorno Garabagh Republic"
Bako Saakyan and took part in the monitoring of the contact line of
the armed forces of the so-called "Nagorno Garabagh Republic" and
Azerbaijan.

Emil Lazarian: “I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
