The Committee for Jirair Sefilyan and Vardan Malkhasyan reported
January 21 the district court declined to hear Jirair Sefilyan’s
claim against President Robert Kocharyan.
"In December Jirair Sefilyan had sued Robert Kocharyan for indifference
breaking the Constitution twice regarding his citizenship. However,
the notorious judge of the district court Gayane Karakhanyan refused
to hear the suit and returned to application to the attorney of the
plaintiff Vahe Grigoryan. The explanation is absurd: no evidence
attached to claim. It is not clear on what storage device Kocharyan’s
indifference, in other words, doing nothing, not responding to
Sefilyan’s application, could be attached to the claim. They have
appealed to the Court of Appeal against Karakhanyan’s decision," runs
the message of the Committee for Jirair Sefilyan and Vardan Malkhasyan.
