MOSCOW, JANUARY 22, ARMENPRESS: Moscow police had to use force Monday
to prevent an imminent bloody clash between young Armenians and Azeris.
Azerbaijani Lider TV reported that some 300 Armenians and Azeris were
bracing up for a battle when they were dispersed by the police.
The conflict was said to be sparked by a debate in a Moscow Internet
cafe between Armenians and Azeri students over the Nagorno-Karabakh
conflict.
The TV company said some of young Armenians and Azeris were detained
for questioning. It also said one Azeri student was injured slightly.
