ArmInfo. Armenian Prime Minister Serzh Sargsyan met a Russian
parliamentary delegation headed by Speaker of State Duma of Russia
Boris Gryzlov, Monday.
The Armenian governmental press-service told ArmInfo that during
the meeting Serzh Sargsyan noted that the Armenian-Russian relations
are getting consolidated with every passing year, and the volume of
Russian investments in the Armenian economy is growing. The trade
turnover between the two countries increased by 60% in 2007, and over
170 interstate, intergovernmental and interdepartmental treaties and
agreements have been concluded over the past 15 years.
He familiarized his guests with the situation in the Armenian economy
and perspective programs. The interlocutors stressed the significance
of promotion of inter-party cooperation and in this context pointed
out the importance of cooperation between the United Russia Party and
the Republican Party of Armenia, which was expressed in the Agreement
on cooperation between these two parties signed on January 28.
