GALLUP PRESENTED NEW RESULTS

Baltic Surveys Ltd. / The Gallup Organization presented the results
of the sociological survey on January 13-20 among 1200 citizens to
the campaign offices of the parties and candidates. According to it,
the leading candidate is Serge Sargsian. The latter even improved
his rating and instead of December’s 35 percent, today 43 percent of
the questioned support him. Arthur Baghdasarian takes second place
with 11 percent, but he had a regress compared with December’s 13
percent. Artashes Geghamian has 6 percent and takes the third place.
Other candidates’ rating is trifling.
64 percent of the questioned are inclined positively to Serge Sargsian,
34 percent – negatively. Here also the Prime Minister has a progress
compared with 55 percent of December. 22 percent of the questioned
supported Arthur Baghdasarian.
11 percent were against all candidates and 9 percent were not oriented.
The number of the optimists has increased (67 percent of the questioned
instead of December’s 54 percent), 26 percent is neutral, and the
number of the pessimists decreased from 10 percent to 6 percent.
According to Baltic Surveys Ltd. / The Gallup Organization, the survey
was conducted by Armenian Sociological Association, the Armenian Prime
Minister continues to preserve and even improve his position of leader.
