YEREVAN, February 5. /ARKA/. Armenia’s road infrastructure will
be completely renovated by 2012, RA Minister of Transport and
Communication Andranik Manukyan stated at the Parliament’s sitting.

Íe also reported that road marking and installation of safety fences is
to be brought to conformity with international standards by that time.

Manukyan pointed out that the Government is currently funding a number
of road construction programs as well as attracting credits for the
implementation of the programs. The Minister pointed out that active
renovation got under way in 2000.

"At present, the roads under the authority of the Ministry of Transport
and Communication have been put in order and are properly functioning
even during snowfall," the Minister said.

Ìanukyan stressed that a good condition of roads is the main
guarantee of Armenia’s stable economic and agricultural development
thus affording an opportunity for entering the market to Armenia’s
farmers.

Emil Lazarian: “I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
