RA NA RATIFIES THREE INTERNATIONAL AGREEMENTS AND DISCUSSES ANOTHER NINE ONES

YEREVAN, FEBRUARY 5, NOYAN TAPAN. The RA National Assembly, at the
February 5 morning sitting, ratified three international agreements
discussed the day before. During the day another nine international
agreements were presented to the half-empty hall, without speeches. The
voting is likely to take place at the February 6 sitting.

The additional protocol of the memorandum of mutual understanding
On Founding an OSCE Office between the RA Government and OSCE in
Europe signed on June 9, 2006 in Yerevan is among the ratified
agreements. The other two agreements are credit. In particular, by
the agreement Financing between the RA and International Development
Association (Poverty Reduction Assistance Fourth Credit) signed on
November 29, 2007 in Yerevan, a credit of 18m USD will be provided
to RA by privileged conditions, without repayment in the first ten
years. The service interest rate is 0.75.

By the Rural Road Section Program (Special Operations) credit agreement
signed on October 31, 2007 between RA and Asian Development Bank,
a credit equal to 30.6m USD will be given to four Armenian regions,
Gegharkunik, Armavir, Ararat, Kotayk, for repair of their roads with
the total length of 228 km, with the repayment term of 32 years. In
the privileged period of credit repayment, until February 1, 2016,
RA will pay 1 percent to the bank and then 1.5 percents annually. The
Armenian side will give 11.3m USD as co-financing.
