EU TERM CHIEF: EU READY TO HELP TURKEY-ARMENIA RECONCILIATION

Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel of EU’s rotating president Slovenia
said that EU was ready to contribute to the dialogue between Turkey
and Armenia, in accordance with the interests of the two countries.

Rupel, who paid a visit to Armenian capital of Yerevan, held a joint
press conference with Armenian FM Vartan Oskanian.

Rupel said the existing opportunities should be used for the
normalization of relations between Turkey and Armenia.

Recalling that Turkish and Armenian Foreign Ministers held talks
from time to time, Rupel said he hoped such meetings would help the
normalization of relations.
