"ARMENIAN AIRWAYS" EMPLOYEES’ SALARIES AND BENEFITS-RELATED DEBTS FULLY PAID

YEREVAN, FEBRUARY 11, NOYAN TAPAN. The debts on salaries and benefits
of former employees of the wound-up "Armenian Airways" airline were
fully paid.
NT correspondent was informed by the Main Department of the Civil
Aviation of the RA that debt of a total of 113.7 mln drams (366
thousand USD) – salaries of 234 employees has been paid off. Besides,
56.6 mln drams was paid out of the sums that remained after the
redemption of liabilities during the winding up process of Gyumri’s
Shirak Airport. Debt on benefits of a total of 36.7 mln drams to 169
former employees were paid.
The debt of 12.4 mln drams was paid to families of 8 perished
pilots. The debt of 171.49 mln drams for occupational ilnesses and
loss of bread-winner were paid off as well, 135.63 mln drams of which
was paid to the Social Organization of Disabled Persons for partial
redemption of liabilities.
Out of 744 creditos registered for bankruptcy procedure in 2004, only
92 currently remain, whose debt amounts to 1.302 bln drams. This debt
formed based on requirements of the RA Law on Bankruptcy.
