SIRUSHO AND ARAME RECOGNISED THE BEST SINGERS

The Armenian National Music Awards-2007 was held in the National
Academic Theatre of Opera and Ballet after Alexander Spendiarian
on February 10. The ceremony was attended by RA President Robert
Kocharian and was broadcast by Armenian Public TV.
Arame was named the best male singer of the year.
Sirusho won the title of the best female singer.
Vardan Badalian was recognized the "opening of the year." "If You Go"
won in the "best video clip" nomination. The clip was shot by Hrach
Keshishian. The song is performed by Emmy and Super Sako.
"Best Folk Singer" title went to Arsen Grigorian and Anna Mailian. Anna
Mailian was also awarded as the author of the best folk album.
"Armenoids" was named the best group of the year.
The "hit of the year" went to "Present and Past" song by Sofi
Mkheyan. Hayko’s "In One Word" album was recognized the best pop
album of the year.
Representatives of jazz and classical music were also awarded. "Jazz
band" was named the best jazz project of the year. The Armenian State
Youth Band was named the opening of the year.
