ART WORKSHOP FIRE CAUSES EXTENSIVE DAMAGE

A fire broke out in an art workshop gallery in Larnaca on Tuesday
evening, causing damage estimated to be in the region of â~B¬80,000.

The workshop, on Armenian Church Street, was completely destroyed
after the fire broke out at 9pm.

Investigators are looking into the possibility that a heater found
near a multi-plug was the cause.

The contents of the workshop were not covered by insurance.

According to police, the Larnaca Fire Services intervened promptly,
preventing the fire from spreading to neighbouring buildings.
