ArmInfo. President of Armenia Robert Kocharyan does not see any sings
of gross external interference in the course of the presidential
election in Armenia.
During an interview to local TV channels Kocharyan said that some
foreign states had certain interests in the South Caucasus and gave
preference to one or another candidates based on their programs.
However, they are not interfering in the electoral process: the wave of
"color revolutions" has shown that they can’t improve people’s lives.
On the other hand, the Armenian authorities are conducting
well-balanced policy with respect to their neighbors and have created a
new format of relations with other countries and structures: the United
States, the European Union, etc. In this light, the present Armenian
authorities are regarded as a well-balanced factor, a party one can
cooperate with.
A number of international public organizations showed an inadmissible
approach when working with a single opposition candidate for months.
Now they are showing much more balanced position and are implementing
mostly education programs.
