Heiki Talvitie visits the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin

On February 18 at the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin His Holiness
Garegin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians,
received the Special Delegate of the OSCE Chairman-in-Office,
Ambassador Heiki Talvitie.

Welcoming Mr. Talvitie’s visit to the Mother See, his Holiness
said he is pleased to see him in Armenia again. Recalling Heiki
Talvitie’s term in office as Finland’s Ambassador to Armenia, the
Catholicos expressed his satisfaction with the developing relations
between Armenia and Finland. The Catholicos also presented the warm
relations existing between the Armenian Church and the Orthodox and
Lutheran Churches of Finland.

During the meeting reference was made to the peaceful resolution of
the Karabakh issue and the presidential elections expected in Armenia
on February 19.
