ROBERT KOCHARIAN SENDS MESSAGE OF CONGRATULATION TO SERGE SARGSIAN ON OCCASION OF WINNING IN RA PRESIDENTIAL ELECTIONS

YEREVAN, FEBRUARY 20, NOYAN TAPAN. On February 20 Robert Kocharian, the
President of the Republic of Armenia, sent a message of congratulation
to Prime Minister Serge Sargsian, a presidential candidate. The
message runs as follows:
Honourable Mr. Sargsian;
I congratulate you on the occasion of the convincing victory you
gained in the 2008 presidential elections with all my heart. The
vote you received in the free and fair elections is the vote of the
continuousness of the reforms directed at the democratization and
quick development of the Republic of Armenia.
The preservation of the tempos of the economic growth of Armenia,
the overcoming of poverty and the provision of a new quality of life,
the deepening of the international involvedness of Armenia, and the
fair and final regulation of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict are only
some of the numerous problems set in front of you by the people. I
am sure that you will make use of all your knowledge and capacities
for the implementation of those goals.
I am sure that the coming years of your tenure will be siginificant for
the strengthening of the stability of the state and the deepening of
tolerance inside society. Armenia is endowed by an exceptional human
potential, which should completely and fully serve the progress of
our Homeland.
I wish you good health, vigour and strength for doing your services
to the people on the highest post of the country.
