YEREVAN, FEBRUARY 22, NOYAN TAPAN. Gagik Jhangirian, the RA Deputy
Prosecutor General, made a speech at the February 22 mass meeting of RA
presidential candidate Levon Ter-Petrosian and the forces supporting
him. In his words, Levon Ter-Petrosian should no longer be introduced
as first president as the latter has been elected third President of
the republic, Gagik Jhangirian called people to stand for their votes
and finally establish authorities of law in Armenia. He mentioned
that those guilty are to answer for the cases of Talin and Ashtarak
(the scuffle, which took place on the day of the election) and not
"the defendant to become aggrieved and vice versa."

"I join the mark given by Levon Ter-Petrosian concerning

October 27. The investigation of that case in the quashed part is
still ahead. If you, people, help me, we will take that case up to
the end. I turn to the supporters of Vazgen Sargsian: guys, it is
enough to propose patriotic toasts around the table, the moment has
come now," Gagik Jhangirian said.
