OPPOSITION STATEMENT ON SUPPORT OF DEPUTY DEFENSE MINISTER DOESN’T CORRESPOND TO TRUTH

RA Defense Ministry refuted Levon Ter-Petrosian’s statement
that the opposition gained support of Manvel Grigorian and Gagik
Melkonian. Defense Minister’s spokesman, col Seyran Shahsuvarian said
that opposition’s statements do not correspond to the truth.

During the rally, Levon Ter-Petrosian said that RA Deputy Defense
Minister, general Manvel Grigorian and his assistant Gagik Melkonian
joined the opposition.

"At the moment we are holding talks with General Staff Chief Seyran
Ohanian. I am convinced that the army will join Grigorian and
Melkonian," Ter-Petrosian said.
