Armenian police search homes of opposition activists, arrest two

26 February: Yesterday the police started wide-spread searches at the
homes of activists from the team of [opposition candidate in 19
February presidential election and former Armenian President] Levon
Ter-Petrosyan and of the heads of [Ter-Petrosyan’s] election
headquarters all over Armenia. At this moment the police are at the
house of Garnik Margaryan, the chairman of the Homeland and Honour
Party, where a search is being carried out.

Ter-Petrosyan’s election headquarters has told A1+ that Garnik
Margaryan, the chairman of the Homeland and Honour Party, and Samvel
Harutyunyan, former mayor of the city of Goris [Syunik Region], have
been arrested.
