In Karabakh the launch of the process of self-cleaning has been
declared. A few months ago the NKR Prime Minister Ara Harutiunyan
had stated in answer to the question of Member of Parliament Gegham
Baghdasaryan about "the exaggerated public administration" that in
Karabakh there is even a shortage of specialists and it is necessary
to involve more. In addition, in 2008 250 new positions were created
in the government.
After the recent consultation with the NKR president during which the
dissatisfaction of people with some government agencies was discussed,
the NKR prime minister stated during the meeting of government on
February 26 that the public administration is exaggerated and it
should be cut.
Ara Harutiunyan also said that the car pool of the government is
too big. By the way, a month ago a considerable amount of Hyundai
jeeps arrived in Karabakh part of which were provided to ministers
and heads of other government agencies.
