YEREVAN, FEBRUARY 28, NOYAN TAPAN. Colonel Hovhannes Haroutiunian,
the former Head of the RA Military Police, and Husik Baghdasarian,
the Commander of the self-defence detachment of Masis and a member of
the Republic party, who are among the supporters of RA first President
Levon Ter-Petrosian, were detained in the city of Masis on February
27. As Armenian Time Daily reports, arms-ammunition was discovered
during the search conducted in the houses of the latters. According to
Vardan Zurnachian, the advocate of H. Haroutiunian and H. Baghdasarian,
since the weapons were legal, authorities declare that the discovered
ammunition does not correspond to the weapons.
