LEVON TER-PETROSIAN: "EITHER SERGE SARGSIAN OR ARMENIAN PEOPLE MUST LEAVE ARMENIA"

YEREVAN, FEBRUARY 27, NOYAN TAPAN. The authorities of a country,
where rallies and actions with the participation of 500 thousand
people are organized, do not have future. Aram Sargsian, the Chairman
of the Political Board of the Hanrapetutiun (Republic) party, made
such an announcement at the February 27 rally. He added that the
authorities certainly change also in the countries where the students
join the national movement. A. Sargsian repeated first President
Levon Ter-Petrosian’s demands voiced the day before, which are the
following: to invalidate the elections and to set free their friends
arrested during the recent days. According to him, some more days,
and the current authorities will agree to all their demands.

According to Levon Ter-Petrosian, today the question is set in the
following way: either Prime Minister Serge Sargsian or the Armenian
people must leave Armenia.

As Mikayel Hayrapetian, the leader of the Conservative party, said,
the opposition plays a game of a cat and a mouse with the two-headed
pro-governmental monster without wishing to fasten its decease.
