55 people detained by law-enforcers of Armenia

ArmInfo. The law-enforcers of Armenia have detained 55 people.

Press-secretary of Prosecutor General of Armenia Sona Truzyan told
ArmInfo correspondent that the citizens were detained within the
frames of a criminal case instituted by the Special investigation
service. To recall, the criminal case was instituted under several
articles of the Armenian Criminal Code: Article 225, Parts 1 and 2
(mass disorders), Article 235, Parts 1 and 2 (illegal keeping of
weapon and ammunition), Article 316, Part 2 (violence against power
representative). According to Truzyan, the degree of these citizens’
participation in the actions stipulated by the mentioned articles is
being specified. The injured citizens and policemen are to undergo
forensic medical examination. Truzyan also said that an investigator
visited MP Armen Martirosyan who was slightly injured in the clash.

Necessary operative investigation measures are being taken to find
out all circumstances of the event and the persons who organized this
event and involved other persons in it, Truzyan noted.
