Head of President’s Staff presents the situation to OSCE Ambassadors

Upon the instruction of RA President Robert Kocharyan, the Head
of Staff of President’s Office Armen Gevorgyan had a meeting with
Ambassadors of the OSCE participating countries and representatives
of international organizations accredited in Armenia. The situation
established in Yerevan on March 1st was presented during the meeting.

The Head of Staff of President’s Office presented the actions of the
authorities, particularly the circumstances of declaring a state of
emergency. The diplomats were informed that the Armenian authorities
undertook all necessary measures envisaged by law to establish order
in Yerevan and prevent the illegal actions.

Armen Gevorgyan stressed that the authorities are decisive to call
the organizers, inciters and perpetrators of the disorders to account.
